Your Consultation
The best way to learn if a procedure is right for you is through a personal consultation with Dr. Eliopoulos. Dr. Eliopoulos feels that the consultation process is a crucial and important part of your surgical experience. For Dr. Eliopoulos, the purpose of the consultation process is not to “convince you” to undergo a procedure, but rather to share with you her surgical experience and expertise as she learns about you and your goals, evaluates you, and educates you on potential surgical options. She and her entire team at the Center for Plastic Surgery are committed to making this process as informative and comfortable as possible.
Upon scheduling your consultation, you will be mailed a confirmation letter which includes medical forms to complete. By completing your health information forms before arriving to the office, we can better ensure that you will be seen in a timely fashion.
Before meeting with Dr. Eliopoulos on the day of your consultation, you may watch an educational video regarding your procedure of interest. This will better prepare you for your consultation and may help you think of questions to discuss with Dr. Eliopoulos.
You will then meet with Dr. Eliopoulos in a private and personal consultation. Typically, the consultation process can take up to an hour, sometimes more. After learning exactly what your goals are and after a thorough examination, Dr. Eliopoulos will be able to recommend a treatment plan to fit your individual needs. She will then give you all the information you need about your recommended procedure to help you make an informed decision whether or not to proceed with surgery. Hopefully you will leave with a good understanding of what can be achieved with the recommended procedure. You will also learn how to prepare for surgery, what to expect postoperatively as you recuperate, the potential risks and benefits of surgery, and you will be able to review some before and after photographs as well.
After your consultation, you may wish to meet with Lori, the Practice Manager, to receive a Surgery Proposal for the recommended procedure. This will include the surgical fee, anesthesia fee, and hospital facility fee. Lori can also give you information on financing options and possible surgical dates. If you do not meet with Lori on the day of your consultation, the Surgery Proposal can be emailed or mailed to you. Lori will then follow up with you by phone to answer any questions you may have after reviewing your proposal.
The consultation fee is $120. Patients often tell us that they were very impressed by the personal attention and time given to them by Dr. Eliopoulos and have found that this educational process allowed them to confidently proceed with surgery. We hope that you too will feel your consultation was well worth your visit to the Center for Plastic Surgery.
