COVID-19 Update

Dear Valued Patients

We hope you and your family are well and healthy. We know these have been very challenging times. As you know, our office has been “open”, but we have been limited to virtual visits, phone calls, and emails. Many of you have already become familiar with our HIPAA compliant Klara Platform for texting and sharing documents, and for virtual office visits. We are eager to see you all back in the office soon, and an official date will be determined based on our federal/local government and state/hospital regulatory bodies. In preparation for that, my staff and I have been working diligently to prepare for your arrival. Please note that we will continue to follow all CDC and OSHA guidelines for cleanliness and infection control. We have also instituted additional measures and protocols to ensure the utmost safety of our patients, staff, and families. This includes patient screening protocols, additional infection control precautions, air purification systems, and measures to ensure social distancing and limiting contact. We know some of these protocols may make your visit feel a bit “different,” but we hope you will also feel safe, reassured, and welcomed. We appreciate your cooperation and participation in these safety measures. We want to share with you below what your visit will look like when you come to the office:

  • As we get patients back on the schedule, we will be taking into consideration the type of visit and treatment being done, along with patient health and risk factors. Because we will be allowing for social distancing between patients, you may notice fewer options for scheduling your appointment. But we will do our best to accommodate you.

  • You will be prescreened over the phone by our staff prior to scheduling your visit. If you are on our schedule, please expect a text message from our HIPPA compliant Klara Platform 5-7 days prior to your visit. The text will indicate coming from Dina Eliopoulos, MD - Center for Plastic Surgery. Once you respond to this text, we will be able to send you our COVID Screening Questionnaire and Pre-visit Patient Instructions to facilitate your visit. You will also be called 2 days before your appointment to confirm your visit. We must verbally confirm your appointment to review our COVID Screening Questions to make sure it is safe for you to come in, and to prepare you for the visit. If we leave you a voicemail to confirm, please call our office back so we can properly confirm you and screen you.

  • You will notice our staff wearing masks and using appropriate protective equipment.

  • We are trying to maximize social distancing and minimize traffic flow, so that patients will not likely be in contact with other patients and minimally with staff. We ask that you come alone to your appointment, unless you need assistance, and in that situation, we will formulate a plan. We will not be utilizing our reception area. Instead, when you arrive for your appointment, please wait in your car and call our office. Once we confirm it is safe to come in, you will come to our office door, wearing your own face mask, and will be greeted by one of our nurses who will do a quick temperature check. You will then be escorted directly into the exam room, where you will be asked to sanitize your hands.

  • Also, for safety and efficiency, we ask that if you are undergoing a facial procedure, you arrive with no makeup on and hair pulled back in a ponytail, if possible. We encourage patients to bring their own pen if able in case paperwork is needed.

  • While we miss you and would love to catch up, we are going to try to keep visits safe and efficient to minimize your time in the office. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call the office at (978) 275–9440. We appreciate your understanding and continued support and look forward to seeing you soon in the office!
