Many patients are interested in fighting off the aging process through facial rejuvenation, and Dr. Eliopoulos offers several effective options. A facelift is the most aggressive technique, targeting the neck and jawline to restore youthful contours. Eyelid surgery is also an effective procedure for eliminating excess skin and fat pockets on the upper and lower lids. Non surgical options include laser assisted liposuction, which can tighten the neck and remove fat, and noninvasive radiofrequency treatments.

Our ICON MaxG uses state of the art technology, optimizing the range of light waves to best target melanin pigment or hemoglobin in the blood vessels to provide maximum results, comfort, and safety. We are dedicated to performing only the very best IPL photofacial Boston and the surrounding areas have to offer, which is why we have made the investment in the Palomar MaxG.

During an IPL photofacial treatment, Optimized Light technology sends a broad spectrum of therapeutic light into the skin which can simultaneously treat multiple skin conditions. Once the light reaches its target, it is then transformed to heat energy. The light is absorbed either superficially, by broken capillaries and dark pigment, or deeply, by larger vessels and collagen. Dilated capillaries coagulate, pigmented lesions darken and then slough off and new collagen fibers are laid down, giving the skin a renewed and more youthful appearance.

What to Expect During an IPL Photofacial

There are many advantages to photofacial treatment with IPL technology. The entire procedure lasts approximately 30 minutes, and because there is no need for anesthesia, there is no prolonged recovery time. Boston IPL Photofacial patients report that the treatment feels like a rubber band snap, although the level of discomfort during IPL treatment ranges from mild to moderate. A slight burning sensation may last for up to one hour after treatment. You may experience pinkness of the treated area for a few hours immediately after the treatment, but makeup can be applied and normal activity can be resumed immediately. Pigmented spots being treated may also darken slightly for several days before fading.

For maximum results, a series of four to six IPL photofacial treatments may be recommended, depending on the number of conditions you are treating and the severity of the individual problem.

These treatments are separated by three to four weeks. By dividing the full program into several treatments, the IPL method provides gradual improvement with very low risk. After your initial series of treatments, your results should be maintained with an effective home skin care regimen, and a single photorejuvenation treatment every three to six months.

Cynosure Icon™ ThreeForMe™ Laser Treatment

ThreeForMe is a next-generation combo laser and light based facial rejuvenation treatment that can help restore that glow to your skin by quickly and efficiently targeting your three big skin concerns-hence the name. This 30 minute treatment targets your brown and red spots and fine lines with a combination of IPL photorejuvenation and a 1540 wavelength non-ablative fractional laser.

What concerns does it treat?

ThreeForMe’s smart light-based technology adjusts to your skin type to address three facial aging concerns:

✓ Wrinkles
✓ Sun damage
✓ Broken blood vessels

What are the benefits?

Cynosure has reimagined facial rejuvenation with comfortable, fast, non-invasive laser treatments that yield age-defying results. ThreeForMe allows patients to reverse signs of aging without the hassle or downtime associated with older light-based treatments. Some of the benefits include:

  • Minimal downtime
  • 30 minute treatments
  • Dynamically adjusts to your skin type
  • Minimal discomfort during the procedure
  • Suitable for most skin types and tones
  • Stimulates collagen and elastin proteins for firmer skin over time

How does it work?

This quick, 30-minute procedure repairs the skin in two stages.

Step 1: The first pass delivers intense pulsed light (IPL) to target broken capillaries and pigmentation concerns such as freckles, age spots, rosacea, and unevenness for a visibly brighter, even-toned complexion.
Step 2: The second pass applies a non-ablative 1540 laser microbeam that has a skin-smoothing effect to soften wrinkles, fine lines, and scarring.

Is there any downtime?

There is virtually no downtime. You can get back to your busy life immediately. Most patients find any redness or mild swelling resolves quickly.

How soon will I see results?

Skin vibrance and resiliency start to improve shortly after the treatment. The results only get better with time as collagen and elastin production increases over the next three months. Most patients have up to three treatments spaced a month apart, although your individual treatment plan may vary based on your skin concerns.
