What is FaceTite?

FaceTite is proven effective

InMode FaceTite is a facial rejuvenation treatment using RFAL-Radiofrequency Assisted Liposuction. Radiofrequency (RF) bipolar energy is emitted to heat and tighten the skin and the deeper fibroseptal network. RF energy is also proven to build new collagen fibers for increasingly firmer skin over time. InMode’s revolutionary FDA-cleared technology is capable of improving laxity on the cheeks, chin, jowls, and neck, and when combined with liposuction produces stunning results.

After applying the RF treatment FaceTite Boston area plastic surgeon Dr. Eliopoulos will liposuction the area to remove unwanted fat for maximal contour transformation. Its counterpart, BodyTite, is suitable for treating larger areas, such as arms, abdomen, chest, back, hips and legs in the same way.

What are the benefits of FaceTite?

Learn what makes FaceTite so powerful

FaceTite is FDA-approved, indicating that it meets high standards of safety and effectiveness. The age-defying results are achieved using RFAL- Radiofrequency Assisted Liposuction. The technology provides a highly effective way to deliver the appropriate amount of energy uniformly and safely to maximize tightening.

While results of course are not equivalent to a surgical facelift, this minimally invasive procedure requires no extensive scars or general anesthesia. FaceTite’s downtime is relatively short with minimal 1-2mm scars. A full facelift requires an extensive recovery time as it’s a much more invasive procedure, as the incisions involved are larger and the procedure is generally more involved. Also, useful for a patient who had a facelift in the past and would like a little correction. FaceTite can be the perfect solution for that “gap” patient who wants to collagen build, but is not ready or in need of a formal facelift.

Some of the benefits of choosing FaceTite include:

  • No extensive scarring.
  • No need for general anesthesia.
  • Fast recovery time.
  • Restructures and remodels the skin tissue.
  • Getting rid of unwanted excess facial fat.
  • Reduces wrinkles by tightening the skin.
  • Promotes the production of collagen.
  • Immediate results.
  • Minimal discomfort and pain.

Am I a candidate for FaceTite?

Refresh your skin with FaceTite

FaceTite is ideal for patients in their 20s and up, who have mild to moderate facial skin laxity, and who are looking to remove excess fat on and around the face, like the cheeks and neck. Advanced signs of aging (e.g. severe jowls) may be better treated with other procedures. An advantage of RF is that it is safe for most skin types and colors, including tanned skin. Even though it is a minimally invasive surgical procedure, Boston FaceTite patients need to be healthy without any medical contraindications.

Your FaceTite Procedure

How does it work?

Boston FaceTite model

Your treatment will take place in Dr. Eliopoulos’ private office under local anesthesia. That means you are awake and comfortable during the procedure, and will feel great afterwards.

After the treatment area is fully numbed, a tiny incision is made and tumescent fluid is then injected into the incision. Next, she will insert the thin probe of the FaceTite handpiece which only measures 1.2 mm in diameter. FaceTite has an external electrode that sits on the skin surface and an internal electrode which passes beneath the skin surface. Bipolar RF passes through these two electrodes as Dr. Eliopoulos glides the handpiece over the skin surface. Heating the dermis tightens the existing collagen fibers, causing the skin to contract and coagulate the adipose cells.

Next liposuction will be used as needed to remove any residual unwanted fat to help sculpt the neck and jawline even further. If even more tightening is desired, Morpheus8 RF microneedling can be performed immediately after. The procedure takes about an hour. Dr. Eliopoulos typically will use a neck compression garment after.

FaceTite Recovery

A quick recovery time

FaceTite has minimal downtime. Most patients are back to their normal routine three to five days post treatment. Patients will be instructed on care of their skin afterwards including the use of Alastin Regenerating Skin Nectar. Patients will wear a light neck strap to assist in contouring and to reduce swelling for the first three days, and then only for about 12 hours at night for a few weeks.

Swelling and bruising mostly subside in the first week, although inflammation may persist for up to two weeks. Temporary numbness is common and usually resolves in a few weeks. Patients are back to their day to day activities immediately after, but we usually have patients avoid heavy exercise for about 3 weeks.

FaceTite Results

See skin improvement in as little as six weeks

Close up studio shot of a beautiful female patient with brown hair after FaceTite procedure.

You may notice improvements during the first week, from the removal of unwanted fat. This initial transformation is so rewarding for patients as they gain more defined contours to the neck and jawline. The added benefit of skin tightening will continue as new collagen fibers form and in about three to four months, you will be rewarded with the full results!

Remember, we are constantly losing collagen as we age…it is an ongoing process. So to maintain and build on your results, Dr. Eliopoulos can recommend a skin product regimen or other in office treatments for you.

Are there any risks?

As with any heat-based treatment, there is a minor risk of skin discoloration or burns. But the safety technology built into the device helps ensure very even heating in safe and effective temperature ranges, making this very unlikely. Prolonged muscle weakness around the mouth is possible, although this is rare. Seeking treatment with a board-certified plastic surgeon with extensive training in surgical procedures of the face and neck such as Dr. Eliopoulos may reduce the risk of adverse side effects.
